Popular international quartet “Il Divo” will visit Astana with a concert
The 15th anniversary celebration of the Capital Day this year will be fulfilled with unique melodies of classical music of the popular quartet “Il Divo”, which will appear on July 7, in the new Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera”.
According to the organizers, it will be an outstanding show, for “Il Divo” group is an international quartet of performers. Their style is a mix of pop music and classical opera. The group is included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful commercial international pop project.
The quartet performs songs in English, Spanish, Italian, Latin and French languages. Romantic compositions and opera orchestrations are almost always accented by them.
They record duets with Celine Dion, Tony Braxton and Barbara Streisand. The group involves 4 beautiful voices: baritone of Carlos Marin from Spain, tenor of Urs Buhler from Switzerland, tenor of Sebastien Izambard from France and tenor of David Miller from the USA. By virtue of inimitable voices and handsome appearance of the performers, women all over the world are carried away by the music of Il Divo.
Last May the group received a prestige award “Decade Artists” at the awarding ceremony Classic Brit Awards. Quartet Il Divo has sold over 26 million of disks all over the world. The group has also received over 150 gold and platinum awards in 33 countries.
